Château Leconte Marquey is a 14.5-hectare estate located in the village of Saint-Hippolyte, a small town in the hills of the greater Saint-Émilion area. Jean-Paul Borderie, a former airline pilot with a colorful history in flying, now owns and manages the estate after taking the reins from his mother. With significant recent investments in both the vineyard & the château, Le Conte Marquey wines are beautiful examples of affordable Saint-Emilion with a forward-pleasing style and tender tannins.
Tasting Notes: Elegant and fruity, this wine is smooth and soft with nice tannin integration. The influence of 12 to 15 months of aging in new French oak barrels provides structure on the palate, resulting in a wine that is powerful yet delicate.
