From: Bordeaux, France
Varietal: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc
Tasting Notes: The wine ferments in concrete before aging 22 months in first and second use oak barrels. Great finesse on the aromatic nose of dried cherry, plums, violets, and orange peel. The luscious palate is loaded with notes of dark berries, black cherry, tobacco, cedar, cocoa, herbs, and some awesome minerality on the finish from the clay and limestone soils of the chateau.
Pairing: Brisket, ox cheek, venison stew
