From one of the oldest blocks at Pepper Bridge Vineyard; this wine shows the balance and poise of a tightrope walker with enough acid to keep it interesting balancing a rich, full mouthfeel. This wine shows off spicy, red berry fruit aromas and flavors that linger seductively on the finish.
Pepper Bridge Vineyards adhere to a standard of sustainability we aspire to, with winemaker Jean-François Pellet playing an active role in management of the vineyards and is a founding member of the Walla Walla Valley's sustainable viticulture program, VINEA. Pepper Bridge Vineyard was first planted in 1991 and they have been buying their Merlot grapes since 1998.
As much as possible, the vineyard takes a non-interventionist approach to winemaking. They place great emphasis on vineyard selection, picking, pressing, and blending so that Hightower wines are naturally beautiful and free from pretense. They let the powerful and concentrated fruit from Red Mountain speak for itself. The result is a collection of well-balanced, nuanced wines that reveal something new and interesting each time you open a bottle.
