From: Jura, France
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Domaine Rolet is an emblematic estate located in the Jura and extends over the four Jura appellations: Arbois, Château-Chalon, Côtes du Jura and Etoile, spread over 65 hectares. Domaine Rolet vinifies only the grapes grown in its own vineyards, harvested by hand only. This Pinot Noir comes from cooler parts of Arbois, which is the most important appellation in the Jura with vineyards planted among the hills surrounding the town of Arbois.
Tasting Notes: This traditional light red wine from Arbois evokes the complexity of the soils of the hills of Montigny and Arbois made of red marls and rich gravels. It drinks like a lighter version of an old-school Burgundy.
