For when you want a little for you & a little to gift!
It's almost the most wonderful time of the year. And with that comes holiday wine boxes!
We're setting you up for a good time in this exciting new holiday six-pack. It's aptly titled "For the Feast," and we've done weeks of tasting to select these six wines below. Our goal? A six-bottle package that'll take some of the stress out of the holidays so you can have more time for leftovers!
NV Henri Champliau 'Petrone' Blanc de Blancs Brut, Burgundy, France
2018 Grenoli Bianco, Piemonte White Blend
2019 Les Iris Beaujolais Rouge
2020 Robert Cantin Pinot Noir Les Grèzes
2019 Domaine de la Solitude ‘La Solitude’ Côtes du Rhône Rouge
NV Andreola Bollé Spumante Rosé Extra Dry
A short briefing the wines above, respectively. Henri Champliau's Petrone Blanc de Blancs is a rich, round, soft bubbly to start, with notes of tree-fruit, citrus, and orchard fruit to whet your appetite. Follow that with a choice white wine from Italy. Elegant, mineral, and easily enjoyable, with a hint of flint that accompanies a wonderful array of lemon and citrus aromas, white flower, apple, and fresh pear.
Next, we're diving into one of this year's favorite wine requests, "smooth red wine." Yep! All three are vastly different but keep to soft, rounded tannins for epically easy pairing. The Les Iris 2019 Beaujolais Rouge is fresh, bright and chillable. Think of this as your cranberry to turkey wine. Robert Cantin's 2020 Pinot Noir from the Loire Valley is everything we've been searching for this year. In the glass, you'll find elegant red fruits, a supple mouthfeel, and a hint of pepper on the finish. And, the Solitude 2019 Côtes du Rhône Rouge is a perfect dinner companion and will wow you and your loved ones.
Last but not least, we're introducing a brand-new wine that you'll adore, especially if you've loved anything from Bugey-Cerdon! This lightly sparkling rosé wine is composed of 100% Incrocio Manzoni, clone 13.0.25. The varietal was named after Professor Luigi Manzoni, and is a cross between Rabosa Piave and Moscato Ambugro. This bright and fresh expression of rosé from Prosecco finishes with a cheery lift.
