Varietal: Gruner Veltliner
Tasting Notes: Appetizing peardrop notes on the nose lead to a light, refreshing and dry body that's enlivened by a fresh spritz. The flavors get a boost of citrus on the clean, refreshing finish.
Weingut Hermann Moser is run by Martin and his wife Carmen Moser, the 26th generation of the family producing wine from the family vineyards. The estate is nearly 400 years old and is located in the village of Rohrendorf in the Kremstal wine-growing region in Lower Austria. The vineyards cover 19 hectares and are the best vineyards from Rohrendorf. 85% of the surface is planted with white varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller and Pinot Blanc, the remainder with Zweigelt.
Martin is a member of the Traditionsweingüter Österreich association (Traditional Austrian Wineries Association). The association was founded in 1992 and is composed of 23 growers who have together created a single level classification of 52 of their best single vineyards in the four Danube regions; namely, Kremstal, Kamptal, Traisental and Wagram.
