Halloween is a particular time for adults and children alike. If you're taking the little ones out to trick-or-treat, you're more than welcome to stop by our petite shop for some treats for the children and an adult treat for yourself. If you're an adult without children, like us, you're plenty welcome to swing by for wine fun. A little taste of the spooky spirit without the hangover. Well, at least not at our place.
We'll be featuring wines from the Ribera del Duero, and one from Toro. All red, all from Spain. Once only known for the wines of Vega Sicilia, the region has blossomed exponentially over the last 30 years. |

We've been so lucky to host tastings featuring amazing wine, shown by so many charming wonderful people and Wednesday, November 1st will be no exception. We'll be showcasing wines from the Piedmont Guy, Cameron Abbott up from Portland on a jaunt. Please join us to welcome him!
The wines: sheesh, there are so many amazing producers to pick from. We'll be featuring wines from Luigi Giordano and Angelo Negro, along with a few others. One of the wines we'll be showing is Angelo Negro's Birbèt made from Brachetto del Roero (birbetta aromatica), partially fermented from the red grape must. It's delicious. |

Cantina Ariano: Puglia's Finest

| Let's take a trip down to Puglia on Saturday. We'll be featuring gorgeous wines from Cantina Ariano, the best wines from Puglia. They reside in a part of the world where farming, history, and viticulture create intricate landscapes and romance is only a glass away. We'll be showing wines from vines grown on marbled, clay soils with marine sediment and varietals such as Nero di Troia, Falangina, Bombino, Montepulciano, and Primitivo. |

Champion Wine Cellars Wine Club Update:
First off, thank you so very much to everyone who signed up for our very first Wine Club! We will personally reach out to curate your selections.
Secondly, we strive to improve the quality of service we provide, and after discussing the approach we take in curating our club, we have a few revisions to make. Everyone has different palates, and that's all part of why wine is fun! Therefore, instead of a "one-size fits all approach," we are intent on curating wines just for you.
Last, but not least, we are committed to long-term relationships with both Greenwood and every one of our club members. We'll be tweaking our selections as your palate changes, and will be in touch via email, phone or in-person chats at the store to provide you the best wine for you! |

The Cesari winery was founded in 1936 when Gerardo Cesari purchased 100 acres of vineyards north of the city of Verona in the heart of the classic Valpolicella zone. He began producing the traditional wines of the Valpolicella region such as Valpolicella, Bardolino, and Soave in addition to what was at that time a little-known specialty wine called Amarone della Valpolicella (or more simply, Amarone).
In the early 1960’s Geraldo’s son, Franco assumed responsibility for the winery’s operations. He expanded the winery’s facilities, acquired additional properties throughout the Veneto region and also fine-tuned and expanded the winery’s marketing initiatives throughout Europe as well as the rest of the world.
Today, the Cesari winery has a fantastic collection of vineyards in prime areas of the Valpolicella zone and elsewhere in the Veneto and is one of the Valpolicella region’s leading wineries. The Cesari winery produces a range of classic wines like Amarone, Valpolicella, Bardolino, Soave, and Lugana in addition to wines derived from “international” varieties like Cabernet, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, and Chardonnay. |
